The Art Room

Of what do you make of the atelier,

The one that I have filled with brushes and paint,

the colors do add to a painted ensemble,

of ruses and misgivings, beauty and shadows,

of tilting landscapes and landmarks of yore.

I once asked him the name given

to a medieval room that locked artisans in,

“What name does spring forth in your mind, when you think of

artisans with a brush and a pen?”

“An atelier, of course,” he said.

I reply as one who paints more of words that houses beauty, love,

and that which confounds the inquisitive mind,

So, it shall be,

In an ATELIER shall I find my muse to unlock the braids of creation.
