round and round,
up then down,
I wished I was up against the sky,
Not looking down,
Nor staring far,
But trailing the blues skies,
with my childlike mind.

Just as Serena’s train journeyed, her thoughts wandered to the man who had written her a letter, her need to meet him mounting as the snow-coated her resolve.

Branches looked like projections of stalactites – like that of those formed inside caves. Mountain peaks at a distance were thickly coated and looked like part of the sky, white of snow against white of the sky.
Though the weather, damp, and the sky bleak, what fell out of the clouds were beautiful snow carvings.
