I remember the sandcastles I never got to build,
The one that got in the way of the tides that washed ashore,
Isn’t life something like that,
You build on dreams,
Get crushed by the fragility of those petaled dreams,
Dreams that were meant to reach the peak,
Sometimes,
Perish under the tumult of insanity.
He walks with me every day, on those shores, I tread upon bare feet,
His steps aligned with mine.
Not one step forward,
Nor one back,
On the same threshold with time.
Isn’t love like that?
you walk as you would
together
taking one step at a time.

Lovely Shobana. You’ve summed up the fragility of human existence. Dreams and love. So delicate and beautiful. 🙂
