The Tides of Spring

The tides of spring are everywhere,

Here it rains, while over there a duck sits, languishing in comfort, snug on its hind legs,

Amongst yellow and green, wondering if the beauty she is surrounded by will disappear like it did in places that rained,

To be harnessed by winds, sunshine, the freshest blades of grass, seated on a flowered meadow is a privilege not accorded to many,

The duck has a song in her heart, “Tell the rain to rain here, in sprinkles, so that I can savor its falling touch, tell the rain the lakes are thirsting, tell the rain that the tides of spring are everywhere.”
