Come What May in March

What would March have in store for us?
On the first day of March,

My books arrived.
March holds so much promise,

I have lots to write about, lots of dreams that had been delayed due to unwarranted attention and disruption.

March holds so much promise,

I look forward to freedom,
Taken away deceitfully, Many many years ago,
Not once did I give up the hope,
Of fighting to stay alive.

There is much hope in March,

I once was captive,

now saved,

and am leaning on freedom.

Hey Everyone,

I hope all of you have a great month ahead. I have another of P.E.Fischetti’s books to review, The Safety. Waiting to get on that.

Today is a beautiful day, though it is getting hotter these days after a February of thunderstorms and rain.

Life is beautiful. Treasure those poetic moments. Take a break if you have to, and know that no matter what happens, when you still have life within you, you can take great strides and bask in its beauty.

Cherish life, it is too short to live a life of regret.

What have you got lined up this month?

Another Place To Call Home is a lovely read as you fall in love with sixteen-year-old Aruna in 1959 India. She faces a marriage arranged by her older brother that would take her to Malaysia. Luckily she has her older sister and brother-In-law if she decides to go. You follow this young lady and learn about what she had to face in 1959 India, about a decision that would change her life. At the same time, you learn about culture in these countries in 1959 and how a new country Malaysia is handling its recent Independence from Britain and how the Chinese, Malays and Indian subcultures get along. Shobana Gomes does a beautiful job keeping your interest and describing beautiful scenes and Aruna’s emotional development. I highly recommend it.

  1. A nice message, Shobana. March is here for marching ahead. This month is the last month of the financial year, and a lot of things to catch up. Thanks 🙏
